2007 Ford Mustang Nitrous Install - Chemical Dependency
The '05-up Mustangs feature drive-by-wire technology and therefore do not use a throttle cable to open and close the throttle body. An electric motor receives directions from the computer system and operates accordingly. Nitrous should only be used above 3,000 rpm, and only at WOT. Typical activation is from a micro-switch triggered by the throttle cable. To solve the problem of no throttle cable, this box monitors the TPS sensor and will turn on the nitrous system only when it senses a WOT situation and the system is armed.
